This music video, for the "Hard Sun" track in the film "Into The Wild", is one for the girls and to a certain extent it's storyline represents many a young mans' dream.
"Into The Wild is the true story of Christopher McCandless, a bright young American college graduate who horrified his parents by sending his $24,000 law school fund to Oxfam, abandoning all his possessions and hiking off into the wilderness in search of a radical re-engagement with nature, unsullied by money or the career rat-race - all in the style of his heroes, Henry David Thoreau, Leo Tolstoy and Jack London.
In 1992, at the age of 24, McCandless was found dead in the Alaskan backwoods in an abandoned bus he was using as a rough and ready bivouac.

And as it opened I could hear you howling from your room, but I hid out in the hall until the hurricane blew. When I reappeared and tried to give you something for the pain you came to hating me again, and just sang your refrain:

From their latest album entitled “Hospice”, telling the story of a man losing a loved one to cancer and having to witness her death first-hand.
Interesting video from a band that originally came from a small seaside town in Devon, UK called Teignmouth (just up from Torquay). Despite their international fame, earlier this month they paid a tribute to their roots by performing to a sell-out concert next to the sea-front of their hometown. I know I don't get out much but I was amazed to read that the average price of a ticket for their forthcoming UK concerts is £80 ($130). You could probably buy all their albums for that price! Credit-crunch? Recession?

This all girl electric violin band do a great job performing this System Of Down cover but it seems they are not yet established as a group. It appears that classically trained, Jennifer Lynn, is the driving force behind the production of this video.

For anyone reading about last nights Mercury Music award winner that are saying (as I am) "Speech Debelle ...who!?" here is a pleasant little video. Personally, I'm not a "Hip-Hop" fan but Speech Debelle have introduced jazz orientated melodies in the background, which I do like.
A montage of notable visual effects from films made over the past century. The most impressive effect for me is the parting of the "Red Sea" from the 1923 version of "The Ten Commandments". Amazingly believable when you consider that "moving pictures" was still in it's infancy.
